Nintendo Switch Online Games and Networking Issues
The Nintendo Switch is a fantastic new system for any gamer. However, it does have one inherent problem that could prevent many people from purchasing it. That problem is the lack of a built in Nintendo Switch controller. In the past, the only way to play the Nintendo Switch without a controller was to hook the system up to a second screen. This meant you would be playing games on a smaller television than you would normally have. The novelty of the Nintendo Switch however, is that you could also simply hook the system up directly to your Samsung television and have a larger screen to play games on, regardless of where you’re at.
With people so used to using controllers that are designed to be used while playing video games, it’s a big step to have a device that isn’t designed specifically for this use. Many people prefer to use controllers because they offer more functionality than just playing games. For example, some prefer to use their controllers to play various games off of the television, while others prefer to do everything with the Joy-Con handheld unit.
Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch doesn’t have built in controllers. The reason they aren’t included is due to cost. When it comes to electronics, companies want to make as much money as possible, so they charge the highest prices they can. While Nintendo may want to recoup their manufacturing costs with the Nintendo Switch, they probably won’t be able to. Therefore, it’s likely you’ll have to buy your own Nintendo Switch accessories.
Although most of the accessories for the Nintendo Switch are wireless, there are a few that aren’t. One accessory that isn’t wireless is the Nintendo Switch itself. While it can be hooked up to a television using its AC adapter, there are no physical connections present. This means all of your games and other media will work with no additional connections on your end. If you’d like to connect your Nintendo Switch to multiple devices, you can, but generally you’ll need to purchase separate adapters for the different devices you want to play on your Nintendo Switch.
Some wireless accessories however, such as the Joy-Con, are wireless and require a physical connection with your Nintendo Switch in order to work. If you’re interested in using the Joy-Con, then you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Pro, which is essentially a USB extender for your Joy-Con. This will allow you to charge your Nintendo Switch while you play, which is essential if you plan to play for any length of time. Keep in mind though, when using the Joy-Con, you must always keep them within reach of your body in order to prevent them from becoming lost. You never know when you might lose one of these crucial accessories.
Another type of accessory that isn’t wireless but needs to be plugged into one of your power outlets is the MFi controller. These controllers use MFi technology to communicate with the Nintendo Switch system. Like the Joy-Con, you will need to purchase separate adapters for each of the devices you wish to use the controller on. Again, this makes this system a little bit more complicated, but it also ensures that all of your controllers are compatible with the system.
Wireless connections are the main point of difference here. If you have your own Wi-Fi network at home, then you should have no problem connecting your Nintendo Switch to it. However, if you do not yet have a reliable and consistent internet connection, you may find it more difficult to set up these connections. What’s more, there are times when Nintendo Switch may not be able to recognize certain Wi-Fi networks. In these situations, you may experience an error message saying that you cannot connect to the Switch. Fortunately, these errors should not persist.
There are, of course, many other types of connections that you may encounter with your Nintendo Switch. Many of them will depend on what device you have and which one it is. Also, you must consider the amount of use you want to get out of your Nintendo Switch. There is nothing worse than having your Nintendo Switch for a few weeks, only to discover that you are not able to fully enjoy all of the features and games. By setting your connections up correctly, though, you should be able to enjoy your Nintendo Switch as much as possible.
