An Amika Hair Products Review Found

Established in 2021 in Brooklyn, New York City, Amika started out as a hair supplies brand similar to so many others. However, it was not until 2021 that the initial operating staff decided to completely rebrand the business to reflect more progressive consumer values. The brand’s mission statement remained consistent though, and it is a product which strives to offer unique hair care products with a conscience. In many ways though, hair products are becoming more similar to one another. This can sometimes be a frightening thing for consumers, especially when we have a wide choice. It takes a little bit of time to get comfortable with a brand however, before we commit to one.

 

After deciding to give Amika a second chance, I had to look at what made my own hair look good and feel great. What I found was that many haircare brands skip the plant-based ingredients altogether, opting instead for man-made chemicals which are almost always harmful to our bodies. In my experience, plant based ingredients work best with my skin and hair. What I discovered was that Amika Hair Products used the right blend of natural ingredients to provide my clients with healthy, shiny and vibrant hair.

 

One of the first products that Amika decided to include in its range was its “Shampoo For Gold” range. As the name suggests, this shampoo went into action to help clients with greasy scalps. Like many other natural haircare products which focus on deep cleansing, this collection included the cleanser, toner and conditioner all in one. It included the popular Amika “Shampoo for Gold” which contained seaweed extract, Vitamin E and a proprietary blend of herbs and tea.

 

Another popular product from Amika is its “Coffee To Go” range which really did a fantastic job at cleaning and removing the grime and debris left behind by my last haircut. This product also contained the popular Amika “Coffee To Go” ceramic range which fizzed away unwanted oils, and left my hair looking soft and shiny. In addition to cleaning and removing grime, this product also removed the usual build up of dirt and white residue that can block hair follicles and cause breakages.

 

I am a huge fan of the Amika Dry Shampoo and Love Routine Shampoo as they are designed to cater specifically to hair types and conditions. For example, if I am in my evening up phase, I need a lightweight yet long-lasting cleaning solution. The Love Routine Shampoo contains the famous taupe base, which is used in many styling gels and creams, and is designed to help even the most unruly hair become manageable. This product also contains additional moisturising ingredients and an antioxidant, which helps fight off signs of aging, and promote a younger looking finish.

 

If I am in my day job, I prefer a more intense cleansing shampoo, and am always in need of a lightweight conditioner. Amika have a wide range of styling products that cater for every day use as well as professional needs. My favourite Amika product is their “Chunks” collection which is a really neat and tidy collection of small chunks which dry quickly and help to lift dirt and grime from the hair and scalp. “Chunks” is suitable for people who have very dry or thin hair, and does not leave a lot of product in the hair. I also really like the “Shampoo” collection which has four different sizes of chunks: very fine, extra coarse, super fine and extra super fine. Amika “Chunks” can be used as a regular shampoo, or mixed with the optional “uxe size” for a more intense clean.

 

Last but not least, one of the best selling products by Amika is the ” Blow Dry & Grill ” collection. With its innovative ceramic technology, the blow dry & grill set is ideal for a quick touch up before a dinner, while watching TV, or as a great way to get ready for a night on the town. The blow dry & grill set consists of two hand held units, the hand held unit has a handheld grill that can be rotated 180 degrees to ensure even cooking of the hair without over drying. The second unit has a rotary brush which helps to style the hair and prepare it for the final blow dry. The “Blow Dry” set comes in a cute terry gift box.

 

Overall, Amika does an excellent job of providing both hair products and dry products that clean without being harsh or damaging to the hair. They are also committed to using only all natural ingredients which provide a lasting feel after they are applied. This means that each product by the brand is guaranteed to leave your hair feeling healthy and clean. My recommendation to those looking for a great all natural brand that is both reasonably priced and full of useful products is to look to Amika.
